About Shad0fx

Joseph William DeMarco is a father. He is an aspiring writer and game designer. Currently he works as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst. He is always looking at exploring and enhancing his writing abilities.

Joe is a freelance writer. He has worked for Harsh Realities on their upcoming Elfwood campaign setting.

Joe has participated in NaNoWriMo over the past few years. Since about 2013 he's been participating in it only in November. in the last year he has expanded to trying to expand his writing goals to participating every time there is a month with 30 days. While sometimes this is simply a goal to write every day, Joe hopes he'll actually finish one project in a month if his muse will let him.

Joe has been working on an RPG game called Escape from the Con. This has been a project in the works for a few years. He's demoed it a few times and so far the feedback has been positive.

Joe has participated in Global Game Jam the past 3 years. This rapid prototyping event gives you roughly 2 days to complete a game based on the theme revealed Friday night of the event.

Joe is a car guy. He really enjoys seeing all the crafting and fabrication that folks do to make their cars their own. Joe's favorite types of cars are Jeeps, specifically the Full Size Jeeps. He has driven a 1984 Jeep J10 since he was 15. It's been in the family for years. Joe is eager to get it back up and running in order to go on many of the adventures you'll find on this website.

Shad0fx came about back when Joe was in college. A group of friends really enjoyed going out to the local Laser Tag establishment. He was looking for a nickname that would fit him. A fan of anime, especially an anime called Zoids featured large robotic organisms where the characters used to fight and tell a great story. One of Joe's favorite Zoid was the Shadowfox. After some creative lettering Shad0fx was born.

Beyond Shadow and Fox. Joe often uses Ombra Volpe around his various gaming events. Ombra  meaning shadow in Italian, and Volpe meaning fox.
